I've recorded hundreds of episodes of television animation. I've performed difficult voice-overs ("external leakage" pills), wacky voice-overs ("The Simpsons, on DVD NOW!") and serious voice-overs (for the Environmental Investigation Agency, which campaigns against animal torture).
Here's one you may recognize. Arriba! Arriba!
Hey, y'know what? My V/O agents, Another Tongue, have got a fantastic web site and I have my own terrific page on that web site. Please take a moment to click on it.
You'll find my commercial show reel, my cartoon show reel ("25 voices in 5 minutes"), my narration show reel, streaming stuff on video at the bottom of the page; anything and everything.
So, please: go. Bookmark this page and take off.
No, really. It's OK. You go ahead. I'll wait.
Maybe I'll record a voice-over while you're gone.
Enjoy!
Kerry Shale at "Another Tongue"
Ah, you're back. Great. You see, this page is dedicated to some of the extra stuff that I have lying around the Shale Vaults. Think of it as a sort of "CD Bonus Tracks" page.
For instance: from time to time, Radio 4's Front Row has hired me to write and record sketches to accompany their arts reviews.
Here's one about the Bob Dylan biopic I'm Not There, starring Cate Blanchett. I play Dylan, Woody Allen, Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Stewie" from Family Guy and God.
There's more Woody Allen here, in this promo for a season of his early - mostly funny - films:
My real voice comes in handy for narration work. This is one of the best documentaries I've ever worked on, The Hunt For Moby Dick, from BBC 2's Arena strand.
This is a wonderful BBC 4 Jazz documentary I narrated with my two-pack-a-day Elderly New York Hipster voice.
* This is the soundtrack from a telly advert for the Jeep Patriot. It's another cool voice, but much younger.
Almost done. You will have noticed on the Another Tongue site that there were tons of dialects and accents. But there were some that had to be left off for reasons of space. If you're interested, listen to:

I have provided voices for countless video games (like the old Tomb Raider series and the new Driver: San Francisco). Mostly, I play American heroes who save the day or nasty foreign villains bent on world domination. But here's a selection of English voices that might surprise you. Can you spot where the dialogue comes from? Answers on a postcard, please.

Lord Evil Poshington

Colonel Fortescue-Chuffington

Sir Darkly Creepington
And a few Scottish voices. Just couldn't resist.

That's it. Except for these final treasures from the Shale Archive. Here's me as Buffalo Bill, sounding a bit like that cowboy from The Big Lebowski:

Not forgetting my sexy Black Navy SEAL!
Sexy Black Navy SEAL
And from a children's audio book, here's an American story teller, an American soldier, three posh English ladies, a Chinese gentleman, a tough old Russian woman and an attractive young Indian dancer. All in a day's work.
